芬蘭旋律死金屬樂團 - Eternal Tears of Sorrow (EToS)

北歐音樂是我前幾年才發現的好東西，當時真有種相見恨晚的感受！
特別是重金屬音樂，技術、力道、旋律、美學...應有盡有，
各種類型的樂團如同百花齊放，整個斯堪地那維亞自成一片天地，
能夠在這個音樂的世界裡悠遊，暢快之至！

我接觸的第一個北歐團就是芬蘭的Eternal Tears of Sorrow(台灣譯為悲愴之淚)，
他們被歸類為MelodiMelodic Death Metal(旋律死金屬)，
這個類型源自瑞典且在當地蔚為一股風潮，芬蘭算是隨後跟進，
但EToS這個既剽悍又細膩的樂團，卻一直是我最愛的前幾名。

A Virgin and A Whore專輯

常聽重金屬的朋友都知道，這種團的抒情之作，經常都是比一般樂團的抒情搖滾來得更淒美又動人，
今天就來介紹一首The River Flows Frozen，收錄在2001年的A Virgin and A Whore(處女與娼妓)專輯，
幾年前，在我心情極差需要宣洩情緒時，這首歌曾經陪著我好一段時日，
算是有某種程度的療傷作用吧！
優美而感傷的旋律、跨刀演唱者Juha蒼涼的嗓音、原主唱Altti死金屬腔的絕望嘶吼，
加上狂暴的電吉他、心境悲戚的歌詞， 正適合用來發洩怨氣和怒意...
Ending那段音樂相當精采，我還特別練過那段keyboard，流暢的琶音真是好聽啊！
